"We were not able to stay for our weekend as we had a family emergency. When my husband and I first got to the lodge we were hit with a strong smell of Marijuana. We sat in the office for about 20 minutes before someone came to help us. While we were waiting someone came into the office to grab ice. Which was fine since they were using a scoop and then they grabbed a chunkc of ice with their hand.Upon checking in we were not asked if we had a reservation. "Mahoning Inn is conveniently located near the resort areas of Jim Thorpe and other Pocono outdoor activities. Given its lower cost of overnight accommodation and less congestion around the property, I would recommend it for a short stay. The Inn was well maintained and clean both inside and out. We felt very safe and our needs were met with their amenities. The only downside was that the price Expedia quoted me was not the price I was charged at the front desk."
