Bad hotel

There was no main lights, just lamps, the heating didnt work, the pillow case and bed sheet had stains. The lady at the desk was nice though

Booked this hotel for earlier in the year for a concert and had to rebook because if COVID-19. I have to admit the hotel isn’t great but saying that the room was clean and was a bed for the night and for what I paid for the room I can’t complain. If you’re just wanting a basic place to put your head down at a low price this is the hotel for you if you want style and luxury there is a lot better for not a lot more in price in the Newcastle area.

Surprised that in the current climate more attention isn’t paid to cleanliness, dirty headboard, doors, handles and walls plus plenty of cobwebs. Definitely won’t be going back.

Great room

Basic but large room with large v comfy bed, friendly staff. Clean enough, for the money I thought it was great. Few minutes walk to town or river, would stay at again. Ps tv was rubbish!

Difficult to find if using Google Maps on the Hotels.com app. Simple check in. Lift worked. Room very clean. Nice white bedding. Big comfy bed. Spare pillows if we had needed. Spot on.

Tatty hotel, no way to cool rooms down as understandably the a/c wasn’t on but the windows were sealed shut! No TV available either. The day receptionist was friendly but the one I spoke to in the evening was quite obviously disinterested in my complaints despite putting it across in a polite manner! The bar and restaurant were also closed. Would not recommend this hotel in any way.

Appalling stay

Receptionist friendly and welcoming. Room 405 stuffy, bedsheets smelt damp, suffocating as windows would not open, air conditioning broken fan provided however noisy. therefore too hot to sleep. Bed arched therefore uncomfortable to sleep giving back pains, I needed to sleep with the pillow on the other side of the bed. Bed creaked every time we moved waking throughout the night. Very very poor sleep. Good location is all I can say good about this place.
