"After being let down by another booking, we chose Oceanside as a last-minute option — and we’re so glad we did. We booked a sea-view room and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The room was spacious and airy, with stunning views across Fistral Beach and the golf course.
The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room had all the usual amenities you’d expect — mini fridge, coffee, bottled water and more. The hotel bar serves Rattler, and there’s a great outdoor terrace to relax on.
It’s ideally located, just a short walk to both the town and Fistral. There’s also private parking at the rear of the hotel, which is free at this time of year — a real bonus.
The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. We genuinely have no complaints and will definitely be returning soon."
"Our room was very clean and well prepared the staff were friendly and pleasant.
Breakfast was excellent
Only one negative no bedside light and you could not switch off the main light from the bed. "
"The room was spotless. The owners/staff were friendly and helpful. I got upgraded to a sea view room and it was absolutely delightful! Beautiful bay windows with the view of the calming sea. The shower is amazing!! The water pressure was absolutely perfect and the way I like it.
I had a lovely veggies breakfast in the morning.
I would absolutely recommend this guesthouse. It’s so close to everything but offers such warmth and home vibes, I will definitely be booking again!"
"Room was well presented but the rest of the hotel was run down and breakfast was definitely not worth the additional £11 per person. Very poor. Undercooked egg and sausage with excuse only one chef. It took ages to be served and the hotel had two coach loads of OAP’s. "
"Absolutely fantastic half term family holiday!
We returned to The Esplanade Hotel again and wow it's still so wonderful, perched on the golden sands of Fistral, the beach certainly is your playground!
From the moment we arrived to when we sadly had to leave everything was perfect - spotlessly clean throughout, great swimming pool, delicious food to include a highly recommended afternoon tea, wonderfully furnished bedrooms with beautiful sea views and the highlight being outstanding service from each and every member of staff!
Every aspect of this hotel is geared up for the family with great children's entertainment every day.
The manager Claudia certainly knows how to run a hotel with her brilliant team, thank you! Her attention to detail is marvellous, it's the little touches!
We will be back, again!"
"Our caravan had everything we needed for our self-catering stay: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area, kitchen with cooker, microwave & fridge/freezer, plus TV & wifi. It would have been helpful to have an instruction guide for the TV, cooker & microwave but everything was fully functional. Great to also have a pool, sauna & steam room at the holiday park, just wish the pool water temperature had been warmer."
