We have stayed at Maxim Hotel several times, and highly recommend the Hotel. Staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and you have the luxury of using the wonderful facilities - Spa Pool, Sauna, Swimming Pool, Gym etc. We will definitely stay again.

Takapuna Motor Lodge
Property is run down and in poor condition. Zero in person contact at reception, only telephone calls. You need to phone on arrival to get key from lockbox. Room was old, door had been forced open at some point with crowbar, TV would not work, heater did not function, showerhead broken, security ...

Quest Takapuna
Room was modern and bright. Bed was very comfortable, quiet location, parking on street was good. Car was needed to reach the beach and hiking paths. Great to have washer and dryer in the room.

Ocean Breeze Hotel
The room was great, large and very clean. Excellent harbour views. However the external environment is very run-down, possibly due to land subsidence on the seaward side.
