"Having read other reviews of this hotel, I wasn't expecting much, but it was one of very few available at a day's notice, so me and my girlfriend booked in anyway. Around the corridors and reception etc, it's pretty dated. But the room itself was clean, comfortable, and even looked quite nice - not 5* in any department, but for a 1 1/2* hotel this was way above par. If i was to go to Blackpool again, I'd probably pay more and get somewhere nearer the pleasure beach with a couple more stars, but...
