"The included breakfast was fantastic. Many options and the fresh fruit salad was good quality. Clean and useful bedroom and bathroom with comfy bed and duvet. We had 6 flights of stairs to our room which was fine and expected. The location is a long way from the seaside action but again, expected."

"Loved my stay here. Very close to the beach and to town. Clean, quiet and comfortable. I walked via the Cleveland Way trail to Robin Hood's Bay one day and took the bus back to Whitby. Fabulous four day stay here!"

"Beautiful location and friendly host and staff who did everything to make our stay a memorable experience. As we and other guests were visiting the Teddy Swims event in Scarborough the host played his video in the lounge and waited for everyone to return after the event. Property is dated but as the saying goes “if it works don’t fix it.”"

"Very quirky hotel. Right in the centre and reasonably priced. Lovely spacious rooms and a very comfortable large bed.
Breakfast was delicious. Well worth the stay and would definitely stay again."

"Arrival was easy, nobody manning reception but was not a problem, key left on the side clearly labelled and clear instructions etc.
Room clean and well presented, good amenities, including tea, coffee, fresh milk etc.
Room not perfectly blackout with some streetlight coming in round the side of the curtains, and a faint green light from the fire exit sign, not something that bothers me as I sleep with my eyes closed, but some day dreamers might want a blindfold.
Bed was clean, very comfortable...

"Lovely room in an excellent location, very near town centre and a beautiful park across the street.
Room was comfortable and well maintained. The owners were helpful and communicated very well. Parking was nearby and free
Whitby never disappoints and we would stay at Broomfield house again."
