Top Nosara Hotel Reviews

Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort
6/10 Okay
"Very expensive... 35$ usd lunch buffet and 9$ waters. Pay for the sauna and for 450$ a night you get 1 free yoga class. Pilates is separate. Would stay close to beach for half the price and walk to yoga is a better play "

Hotel Guiones
10/10 Excellent
"We had an amazing stay at Hotel Guiones in Nosara, Costa Rica. The customer service was truly excellent—everyone was so friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.
The location is perfect—close to everything, yet still peaceful and quiet. The pool area is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and ideal for relaxing after a day at the beach.
We would definitely come back and can’t wait for our next trip!"

Hotel Boutique Lagarta Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous setting, incredible sunsets, friendly staff. We loved looking out from our balcony or the infinity pools onto the bioreserve jungle below. We had an upper floor room (#9) right next to a tree that regularly had birds and howler monkeys coming through. Very peaceful. Spacious room. The food and drinks are at US resort-level prices, and there are no other places to eat within a 15-minute walk, so plan accordingly. The shuttle into town works well for daytime beach visits or lunch out, but the last shuttle back is at about 4:30 so if you stay in town for dinner you need to take a tuck-tuk back (uber not available here)."

Sunset Shack Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

La Negra Surf Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Incredible location! Such a close and easy walk to the beach. The pool and hammock were also great and the staff was friendly. "

Olas Verdes Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Quiet. Great location. Loved the remote feeling"

Nosara Beach Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great breakfast and very friendly staff nice property and nice room layout. Very close to the two main beaches"

Astra Hotel Boutique
6/10 Okay
"Nicely decorated and lovely communal and pool areas. Really good value in Nosara. It is a bit out of town but TukTuks are easy enough and affordable. Unfortunately we were give a room with a severe large ant infestation, we tried to raise it with staff initially and also deal with ourselves, but in the end had to move rooms as it got out of hand (the new room was better, but also still had ants and was very hot…). Staff were lovely and super helpful, our stay was just let down by lack of maintenance on what has the potential to be a great hotel. "

Living Hotel
8/10 Good
"The property is beautiful and the location is great for exploring the north side of town. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel itself could use a refresh. It is for sale so I suspect that will not happen until it has a new owner. My only real issue was lack of table space in the rooms to place keys, books, sunglasses, etc.
Hotel services are limited. The coffee/juice bar didn’t open until around 9 a.m. So early risers need to go out (there are espresso pods available in the main shared space). Not a big deal as there are plenty of places nearby. No laundry service available. You have to go to the full service Super Wash a few buildings down. That wasn’t great as many pieces of clothing went missing.
All in all it is a really nice spot. It could be great with just a few extra touches."
