Domo Nosara Boutique Hotel

"What can I say? This was the R&R that was much needed - secluded, sophisticated and sleek! Domo Nosaro is located on the Pacific side of Costa Rica, about 90 mins south of Tamarindo. The roads are lush with foliage - and the small stretch leading up to Domo is rough terrain, it is only for about 3 mins - and once you have reached the lodge, you will be well rewarded with its sheet beauty. Check in was a breeze (and in fact we were slightly early - and we were immediately welcomed and provided a room). A few small handy notes: (i) there is no elevator, so luggage has to be carried up - no worries though, as the helpful staff will lend you a hand; (ii) there is no onsite cafe - no worries because the Sunrise cafe and other choice eateries such as Pulpo, are literally a stone's throw away - and their food is on point; (iii) there is no TV because this is an eco-lodge designed for seclusion - no worries though as the wifi is strong and you will be instragramming every 5 seconds anyway! What you will see the spectacular lounge areas overlooking the salt water pool - the temperature is just right (neither warm nor cold - just superbly comfortable) - and pool and beach towels are provided. The rooms are luxurious in a Mediterranean style that truly makes you feel like you got away into the lap of luxury - and the windows overlook plants that are teeming with butterflies and birds! The sound of howler monkeys wakes you up in the morning - and time just flies...wish I had longer!"

"The hotel is well deserved of their michelin star! The staff were AMAZING! We met Miri & Jaime (owners) as well, they were so personable and cool to chat with. They gave so much attention to detail including the rooms. It was so comfortable and so well thought out. Even the hairdryer was giving high end. Breakfast was to die for. Presentation even. This place is better than any other high end hotel including the Four Seasons or Waldorf. We are definitely coming back here :)"

"This is an excellent experience. All the staff was incredibly helpful, the room was impeccable, the restaurant was delicious, and the amenities were exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the small details—sweet treats in the afternoon, watermelon water, post surf showers. Also shout out to Carlos, our surf instructor, for getting us up on boards immediately, his storytelling, and his unfettered joy."

Nosara Beach Hotel

"My family and I stayed in room 7 at Nosara Beach Hotel and the room was clean and nicely decorated, with incredible views of the jungle and the ocean from the balcony. The hotel staff is so kind, welcoming and helpful and if you don’t speak Spanish everyone there is bilingual and speaks excellent English. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, pool was exceptionally clean and so relaxing. We ate breakfast there daily, which was included, and it was all so delicious and the coffee was great. The ocean views from the restaurant terrace are absolutely stunning! The hotel has special access to Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada which was super convenient for our family with young kids. The hotel offers many activities including massages in your room, canopy/zip line tours, snorkeling on Pink Island, and much more. We didn’t have time to take advantage of their activities but we will definitely be back since there is so much to explore. We loved Nosara and this hotel offers the best location for beach and town access and is one of the closest hotels to the ocean. We did have a few ants in the room and one spider in the bathroom but we saw less the longer we were there- but you’re also in the jungle! We saw more insects at our home in Los Angeles than we did here. This hotel was wonderful and I’m so glad we got to stay there for our first, but not the last, trip to Costa Rica!"
La Negra Surf Hotel

"I stayed only one night at the end of my trip to Nosara. An older resort, but clean and comfortable. Just a couple comments: Curtains did not close all the way. Lock was tricky to use. Otherwise a great place to stay."
