The room was simple and small but very clean. Hair dryer is not equipped in the room but you can borrow it at the front desk. The staff is nice and helpful. Distant from the main beach area.

The location was great, just a few minute walk from the main area of Anse Vata beach. The staff were very helpful and kindly made lunch reservations for us. You can request a late check-out, but there's an extra fee for it. However, leaving luggage is free of charge. The hotel room was small but clean.

Great Hotel with Great People

I was in Noumea on business and didn’t want a fancy resort hotel. This hotel is small but comfortable with excellent people working there. They are always helpful and friendly. I’ll certainly return to this hotel whenever I’m coming to Noumea again.

Good hotel, well presented and clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and happy to assist with recommendations. It was noisy at night (nearby area, not hotel itself), however this was a Saturday too. The bed is pretty hard and more pillows would be useful. We also couldn't get TV connected for Netflix etc. despite trying a few different things - very limited if you don't speak French. Overall a good stay and reflective of what you pay.

Gondwana was terrific - from the warm welcome and patient assistance with my terrible French (which in practice meant putting anything remotely complicated into English so I could butcher their beautiful language with my replies) to the impeccable cleanliness and constant good cheer, they really go out of their way to give you a pleasant stay. The suite has a private balcony with a lovely little garden that looks over the neighbourhood and across the bay from the 6th floor. There’s a communal patio on the mezzanine level with a reasonably priced breakfast service and tables for chilling out or meeting other guests. The area is great, safe and quiet at night but with good dining options. It’s also close to the town centre and the port if you want a ramble. Gondwana is an economical option in a relatively expensive town that nevertheless hits all its marks. I’ll definitely stay here again.
