"Our room was in a great spot, however the check in staff forgot to mention to me about the noise from the pool area. Not an overall issue but would have been good to know if its stated or identified before booking or at the counter.
Some comments below:
1. We noticed other guests checking in at the hotel were being greeted leis. We got nothing. Disappointed especially when we had booked for 8 nights.
2. Food- hotel food selection at the Swell bar is terrible. It needs to be updated. Also, no mention at the hotel check in about the longboard club and how it works etc. disappointed in how the hotel is rating itself but food/restaurant could do way better.
3. We had a terrible experience whereby a couple opposite our room on the 2nd night ended up arguing at 3am, screaming etc. hotel security was quick to respond and diffuse the situation. I would also
Commend on the reception lady who made an extra effort to change our room for comfort. We kindly declined the offer since the other room looked a bit worn out.
4. The room housekeeping lady was exceptionally great. She was the highlight of our stay. Very kind person and super friendly. Hotel is lucky to have staff like her.
Overall, happy. Would I stay here again? Maybe not. I pay for hotels so that I can enjoy dinner in my room etc and this hotel had one of the worst food selection therefore we had to dine out daily."
