"It seems to be relatively safe in the area. The location is convenient to get on the major highways. The room I stayed has a view of Bay Bridge. The downside is that it doesn't seem to have ventilation in the toilet/bathroom."

"The perfect place to stay for a lover of History architecture and uniqueness. We got to stay on the top floor with a great City View . I picked this place for the historical pool and loved everything else . The breakfast food was outstanding and the dining hall delightful as well. We walked to a concert at the Greek Theater and found a late night food court on the way home. I will spend more time in the hotel next time I stay here! "I think for the area it’s very beautiful and worth the price. I must admit the area it’s around isn’t the best but once you pass the bridge it’s really nice. Staff was nice at check in and make your stay comfortable. Rooms looked clean and new. I only stayed for the night as a emergency but I would stay there if I planned on going to Oakland again.
