"Tired and filthy carpets"

"There is not staff at the Jaxon. You sign in on-line and get a room code to access your room. They do monitor the parking lot as I upgraded to a reserved spot and received a text at 10:45 pm to ask about my vehicle. My room was very small, on the side of the hotel with one small window and no light. The bathroom barely had room to turn around. But the kitchen was very nice. The beds are comfy and the towels are very nice. Plenty of plugs near (and in) the bed for charging phone, watch, computer and other items. But I was only there for work for two nights and it was fine. My co-worker had a larger room which was much nicer. I had a little time one morning and walked around the area. Not too much in terms of shops, but otherwise very cute side streets."

"We made reservation for 2 rooms at this hotel through Expedia. Got there later at night and they argued we only had one room although we had the confirmation, receipt and everything. They were telling us they were sold out and only had one room anyway. Staff couldn’t care less, was rude and unhelpful. They finally found our second room under another name although they were booked under one reservation. Proceed to the room, by far one of the worst hotel I experienced, one of the room had a dead body smell, not just stinking but unsafe type of smell. We were luckily able to change room (another guest wasn’t checked in yet!) We had picked this place last minute because of a nearby appointment. Sleeping in the car would have been as good ! "

"Pros: -Spa was outstanding but very expensive. Some of the best massages we have ever received. -The room was clean and modern. -The partial ocean view was lovely. -Food was good, but options were few. -The pool was very nice. -The beach area was excellent and swimming was great. -Were accommodating to younger children who visited us while we were there - although I would say this was not designed for large families. Less than ideal: -The drinks were very expensive and mediocre for the price. -The service at pool and beach was very slow. We waited 3 hours for a simple order of pizza and and 4 hours to finally get a drink we ordered at 11:30 that morning. The server apologized several times but still could not manage to remember to bring it. It seemed like the beach staff were disconnected from the hotel staff. -Some of the beach and pool staff were rather juvenile and lacked professionalism - one beach staff member walked up behind my 5 year old grandson and tried to scare him. It was bizarre and unneccessary. -The hotel smelled like an Indian ashram - which is definitely an odor that one must become accustomed to. We found it too intense in the lobby and food areas. A pleasant stay in an above average spa resort hotel that still needs to work on its quality of service, communication, and staff. "

"The room was damp, the mattress sunk deep in the middle and was uncomfortable. The elevator was sketchy at best but did work. I’ve stayed at this particular location a few times over the past few years for work. Previous experiences were much better. Only here for 1 night this trip"

"THe property looks unkept in the rooms. Our ceiling had an unfished patching of the ceiling. The Shower looked old and poorly maintained."
