"Large and quiet room "

"As we arrived late we had to do the auto check in via the lodge keypad, they keypad didn’t quite work for us as expected but the staff on site soon came to our rescue. The property is lovely and is finished to a premium standard, unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat in the restaurant but the menu looked good, we would definitely stay here again if we were in the vicinity. "

"The room was rather small but adequate for 2 nights. It was rather a long steep way to get to our room as it was top of the pub and we are oaps! Very noisy on Saturday night but not bad on Sunday. Basically it needs refurbishment. No breakfast available too. "

"The building was under renovation with workmen and building material name around a large section (excluding the bedrooms ). The building is old and in a state of disrepair. The bedrooms have been partially renovated but there is much to be done and there is a need for a deep clean and a repair and repaint of the rooms. But ..,., cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. "

"It says while booking that parking is free but actually it is not, guests are rushed to move the cars from free parking early morning else they woukd be charged a parking ticket."

"Apartment itself was nice. Comfortable bed and kitchen/living room good. Key issues: Cleanliness - pots and pans dirty and not properly washed. Naturally question how clean everything else was! Missing amenities: no shower gel/shampoo provided even though stated in the booking confirmation. Quite frustrating when you turn up late after work and then end up having to go back out to purchase basics such as this.
