"Beautiful old Manor House converted into a hotel. Very quiet location, plenty of parking facilities, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely restaurant overlooking the grounds, breakfast was beautifully cooked and served. I’d certainly use this hotel again."

"It was nice bit dark and dingy but it was definitely a good stay shame there was no late check out unless you paid and also the bar staff seemed quite rude when we returned to use the pool Like kept questioning us if we staying in the hotel. Only to find there was no steam room and the pool was ice cold with no changing area. I would give it a overall 7/10"

"The breakfast was good. Plenty of selection but I don't think all of it was cooked fresh. The bacon was very hard and not easy to cut. The toast was not as one would expect toast to be, it seemed as if it was bread that was put in a pan with oil and served. But nothing was too much trouble for the staff."

"The room was very clean, modern and spacious. A little fridge was stocked and the usual tea and coffee were available. The gym is small but had everything that I wanted to use, the spa area was clean and everything worked. Reception and room service staff were professional, polite and friendly. I slept well, felt safe and genuinely enjoyed my stay. "

"Our room was lovely with a hot tub on the terrace. However the terrace needed cleaning and although we mentioned this it didn’t happen. The shower over the bath was difficult to get in & out . Side of bath very high & water was difficult to balance. Again we mentioned this but it stayed the same. When I booked I requested a walk- in shower. I was told I’d need to upgrade& pay more. I was entitled to an upgrade but it didn’t happen. There was a problem on the first morning with breakfast - burnt toast. & overdone eggs. When we told them the hotel were most apologetic & the next day it was perfect. Also they arranged a free boat trip for us. & adjusted our bill so we felt that they had done all they could to rectify the situation . It’s a beautiful hotel & if we hadn’t had the few hiccups it would have been 5 stars all the way. The Spa was excellent. "

"A handy location in the Thames Valley close to the riverside with railway station a short walk away and right next to bus stops. Rooms designed for single people attending conferences, seminars etc so not large but they have a double bed and all l needed for a short stay. Breakfast served in bright atrium area. Good poached eggs cooked to order. Places to eat in the village but mainly gastro pubs. Happy to stay again."

"Compact room. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Fridge with complimentary water & other drinks. Well appointed bathroom (but no toilet brush) with an excellent shower and bathroom fitments. Friendly staff. Problem with one of the evening dinners which was resolved without any problem and substuted with an excellent replacement (delicious). Well stocked bar - three cask ales. "
