"Overall, my stay was pleasant. I liked my room (slight upgrade), and the location was great for my needs.
My biggest 'issue' was the lounge. I ordered a double gin and soda. I watched the bartender pour my drink with his back to me (usually, customers like to see drinks being made). And he free-poured it. How does he know he's poured 2 ounces of gin? This is my usual drink, and I know for certain it was not 2 ounces, even though that's what I paid for. The soda water was so warm that the little ice he put in my glass had melted by the time I got to my room. I could barely taste the gin. Furthermore, they had no lemons or limes to garnish my drink (except for some dehydrated citrus, which doesn't offer any flavour to the drink). The bartender needs a bit of training on how to make cocktails.
Lastly, I thought it very odd that guests had to pay for a bag of popcorn (most hotels offer small treats like this to their guests). It was fine, $5 is reasonable, just didn't expect to have to pay for it."
"We went to Winnipeg to visit family and our stay at Canad Inns was wonderful. We invited our family for breakfast on Saturday morning and the staff graciously extended the time for the breakfast buffet to accommodate us.
Very pleased and we will definitely be staying again."
"Upon arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean. Whenever I encountered a problem, it was solved immediately. The breakfast was okay. Breakfast would be better with hash browns. The staff that run the breakfast make sure everything is running smoothly. If someone spills anything, it was immediately cleaned up. The tables were cleaned after each guest finished eating. The water machine was left on throughout the day to refill your bottles. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available 24/7. I definitely will return to this hotel. The staff are great, the location is great, the rooms are clean. I was impressed.

"Our two consecutive stays were disappointing overall. The rooms appeared only somewhat clean. During our first stay, the towels had hair on them, and the comforter felt itchy.
In both stays, the bathroom lacked a tissue holder, and the face and hand towels were dirty. The linens also did not appear to be properly cleaned. Additionally, the shower door needs maintenance, as it does not function properly.
The pillows were another concern—they were small and quite uncomfortable, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance issues need to be addressed to improve the guest experience."
"Even though the hotel is a bit old and tired (it will close for a year for a very welcome renovation of the 340 rooms and amenities), Eren and his staff made the stay incredibly enjoyable. They bend backwards to accommodate your every wish and treat you like royalty. Truly exceptional, well done!!"
