"The hotel was average at best, but the prices were for a five star"

"Free breakfast every morning was good and helpful. My kids loved the pool. There were a few cats on the property who were sweet and my kids loved that too. Chickens and a few peacocks came around in the morning from another property but it was really cool, the birds are friendly but have no boundaries. Our room was perfect for our family, 2queens and a twin. The staff was all very friendly and super helpful. The property is in a pretty quiet area. If we get to go back to hawaii we will stay here...

"Resort was great, 4-5 pools and a couple of hot tubs to choose from. Rooms are clean, there is some renovation being do r on the property so you will hear construction noise from time to time. Overall, we had a great experience."

"Very old property. Had a room upstairs right next to the stairs. Other guests were dragging suitcases up right next to our open window. Very noisy. Had to keep windows open because it was very warm and there was NO AC! And no elevator for us to get our luggage to our room. Fortunately someone helped us as we are in our late sixties. "The rooms were very nice and comfortable but worn out lightly. Most the staff were very friendly…the cleaning staff were all lovely. The beach and pool access were great, the restaurants were convenient but severely over priced for the quality. Overall nice stay."

"Loved the grounds and the room was nice. Slept 4 ok with ocean view. Food, especially just the coffee shop, a bit too expensive for just basic snacks. Pools were great except the sand was course and extremely hot. Beach was fantastic at the ocean. Could use more music and restaurant options,but overall really great. Island was fantastic and proximity to old town, hikes. park, etc were great."

"My family and I really enjoyed ourselves at ISO. Safe was really nice and the hotel had a beautiful pool area with plenty of space to lay out and relax. We will definitely stay here again."

"All good, good service. I would love another restaurant option inside the resort, since this area of the island doesn’t offer too much options. They only have one restaurant by the pool, would be very nice to have another option and maybe the closing time be a little bit more late. Everything in the island closes at 9pm, I would love that the resort your staying offer you the option to have food available until 10pm for example. Other than that the resort is beautiful!"

The front desk initially insisted I was mistaken and made me feel like the error was mine. After spending time trying to sort it out, they finally admitted they had booked me into the wrong room. "The gate, your building, check-in, Lava Lava Lounge, then beach. In that order. From the moment you arrive. Very convenient."

"This is the place to stay. It’s a hidden gem. Close to everything. No need to stay at a “mega” resort on Poipu. These rooms are perfect. Older yes but absolutely beautiful and peaceful in the middle of it all."
