"I booked suite room 251 and unfortunately the air conditioning in the bedroom wasn’t working. This meant I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. There was a fan but no air conditioning. I mentioned this to reception in the morning and they assured me they were aware and that’s why there was a fan. However when I checked in reception hadn’t mentioned this issue. If they had I would have asked for a smaller room with working air conditioning. This wasn’t great service."

However, the condition of the room was quite poor; the furniture felt like it was sourced from a low-end second-hand shop—battered, cheap, and very old. "Parking behind main building is limited, we got the last space. Unfortunately our twin room was like an outbuilding in the car park and very cold (radiators didn’t work) with a lamp not working and a spot lamp flashing on and off. Reported to staff and they put an electric radiator in the room which took the chill off. They said they’d have to get an electrician out re the lighting problems. "Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. It's lovely but its an old building so that reflects in the rooms. Other than being a bit dated, everything that could be clean and well presented was. The sheets were immaculate as well as the towels. The bathroom was a bit dated, but the shower was great! It was really hot over the weekend and the windows don't stay open. A fan was provided so that helped with the heat in the room but it was still very hot in there."
