"I loved staying here! It's right next to the main plaza area and a short (downhill) walk to St. Chiara, St. Francis, Chiese Nuova, and St. Maria (where St. Carlo is on display). St. Chiara has 7:15 am daily mass which was great to attend before breakfast. The breakfast was great (coffee, fresh fruits, meats, jelly, bread, freshly made eggs, etc). The room itself was very quiet, even though we were close to the busy plaza. There was an orchestra concert one night in the plaza, but you couldn't...

"Perfect location in the heart of Assisi. Owner was very helpful with instructions from train station upon arrival. Provided us with favorite eateries they enjoyed.Property is newly remodeled and immaculate. Bed was so very comfortable for a good nite's sleep. Highly recommend!"

"This was our third time in Assisi, and our first time at the Hotel Umbra. We loved its central location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and the delicious breakfast they offer. If there was a downside, the spacious room didn’t have much of a view … but what does that matter? We spent all of our time wandering the city. We’ll certainly stay there again."

"AlterEgo B&B is located conveniently near the central square and several restraunts, shops and many historical and religious sites. Assisi is very hilly. AlterEgo is "downhill" from the top bus stop and the proprietor showed us a flatter way to catch the bus leaving. The room was spotless. The bed comfortable. Breakfast is available from a hotel around the corner for 5euro. We would stay there again."
