Riverview Inn & Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The entrance is amazing with beautiful woodwork, fireplaces and a bronze masterpiece. The staff was so friendly and helpful! The hot breakfast was ample and satisfying. We enjoyed our stay!"
"The pool area was never cleaned. We stayed over a week and the same towels that kids had left from the first night by a chair sat there the entire week. Not once was the room vacuumed even when asked. Bedding had stains on them. Managers and staff could not speak English. Stayed there times before and it was much better then."
"Upon check-in, I informed the front desk staff that I was sorry in advance and that there was a baseball team coming to stay for the weekend. I was greeted with a less than warm response, saying they’re better not be any loud noise and she doesn’t want to deal with any complaints. The pool chlorine was so strong that we needed to prop the door open because the boys eyes were burning and again the front desk woman with was not very friendly. when we left for the day for baseball the housekeeping would not clean one of my beds because there was a towel on it. This is ridiculous. Not to mention the room smelled like weed. will not stay here again. There was one staff member who was extremely friendly but the woman with the dark hair was terrible. Clearly this tournament happens every year and the staff should be prepared and welcoming.
Also the place had zero lighting. Could barely see down the hallways."
"The first day was not so good. Was put in an accesible king room for handicapped. Smelled musty & made my allergies asthma bad. Requested another room which was better."
"The fact that they were painting and the windows had plastic over them and the air vents also covered in plastic. Our air in the room didn’t work and they didn’t move us.
Also both nights other patrons were running up and down the hallways screaming and knocking on the room doors at 2 in the morning . Not a good experience…"
"The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful, pleasant, and friendly. We asked about moving to a room on the river side. She was willing to show us 2 different rooms"
