Great beach for swimming and lounging. Superb food with plenty of variety. The 'one visit per stay' restaurant and barbecue both exceeded expectations and shouldn't be missed. "This hotel exceeded my expectations - the reviews seemed mixed but I thought it was a cute, clean & comfortable stay for a good price. The tree covered courtyard & pool area add a lot of beauty to the space & the room was very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was good, WiFi strong (even in the room) and a close walk to the main part of town whilst still feeling chilled. Would recommend!"

"Loved the location - right on the river with two large lovely pools and lots of little secluded areas around the hotel to relax, sunbathe, read a book. Loved the grounds themselves, full of beautiful plants and flowers. Breakfast was quite nice, not the best you'll ever have but wasn't bad. Two bug bears were - no iron (and couldn't borrow one either) and extortionate charge for late checkout (£44 for 4 hours). Having said that, would still go back again (taking a travel iron maybe ha ha)"
