"This is our 3rd stay at the Store in the past 7 months and won’t be our last. We love staying at this central, modern and well designed hotel. It has the right amount of luxury and the staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. The rooms do vary but we have begun to become familiar with some of the rooms. They have a very good breakfast with some continental items but you may also order from the à la carte menu. We chose not to include breakfast this time only because we eat too much when we do! We also booked the complimentary 1 hour in the thermal suite which my husband throughly enjoys. They also have additional paid spa services you could book which I’m sure are lovely but we haven’t had an opportunity to do so yet. The hotel is centrally located right on Broad Street but the windows to the rooms are very well soundproofed so I was never bothered by any street noise but on occasion in the mid morning I would hear footsteps from the room above us (they sounded like heavy footed walkers!). Do note that you can’t drive up to the hotel doors but you can stop your car a 2 minute walk away and they will come help you with your luggage if you need it. Also note that they don’t have parking, but there is a car park a 5 minute walk away. It’s expensive (£35-40 per 24 hrs) so do factor that in when you travel to Oxford (as I believe most hotels don’t have parking). The hotel also has a lovely (small) rooftop Terrace bar which is great on nice days. You can sit outside or inside "

"Pros: Great location, picturesque river view, nice large outdoor patio, cosy bar restaurant area, good breakfast, friendly staff. Cons: Room requires a thorough cleaning, very dusty with a musty smell, carpet should be cleaned or removed. Given the price paid the room was uncomfortable and disappointing. "

"Friendly staff very clean room bed was so comfortable air conditioning heating and was perfect for Theatres especially New Theatre lots of restaurants and public houses and cafes near by and very near bus station,the Hotel would not be suitable for those with mobility issues or wheelchair users but overall a lovely clean restful place to stay will stay again "

"The property was clean but scruffy. A bit run down. The room was basic and comfortable. Bed comfortable. The bathroom was too small. My husband is 6ft 2. He struggled to sit on the toilet. Knees against the shower screen. The shower wasn't enclosed enough, the water leaked on the floor. The breakfast was good, basic cooked and continental. We weren't aware of the parking at the back of the property but we managed to squeeze into a parking space at the front. The property is 25/30 min walk to Oxford city centre. Which suited us."

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience here was extremely disappointing. The condition of the property fell far below what I would expect from a hotel, and it raised serious concerns about cleanliness and safety. Even at a significantly lower price, I would not consider this good value for money. I’m genuinely surprised that the current standards are considered acceptable, as the overall environment felt more like a health risk than a place to stay. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes substantial improvements, as the property has a lot of potential if properly addressed."

"We had a really lovely spacious room with a little patio and outdoor seating. The bed was very comfortable, lovely clean bedding, and the bathroom was spotless. Very nice toiletries. We decided to have dinner at the last minute which was really very nice. Nice river walk into the centre of Oxford rather than walking along the main road. The only negative was having to pay £25 for parking! "
