"The property is a cozy and relaxing old building. It was generally clean, though the washroom could have been better maintained. The host was responsible and very friendly, which added to the stay. While accessing Venice from the location can be a bit challenging, the surrounding area felt safe. "

However, do not go "off-season" as almost all the activities you go there for (fine food, wine tasting) was unavailable. They should just close the hotel off season to avoid disappointing guests. The staff were unfailingly polite while not offering very much. All in all, there was a stingyness with this property and experience."

"Good buffet breakfast. Excellent location on Giudecca; nearby vaporetto stop for easy access to Grand Canal, but away from crowds, noise & pickpockets."

"This place is pretty but small. The opening for the shower is about a foot and a half wide and you can’t exactly bend over in it. The staff are amazing and very kind. If you are walking there be prepared for the stairs with your luggage. We hired a porter for the return to the train station. Worth it. "
