"The Imperial, Torquay exceeded my high expectations! You could feel the grandeur and romance as you look out to a magnificent view! I could imagine Agatha Christie's characters here! The magnificent Manager, Nigel, made sure that my stay was most memorable! It is clear that his Commitment to Excellence is present in the Customer Service provided by Kelly at the Desk and Michael in Dining! Wonderful Breakfast and ideal location too!"

"On our arrival though a little later than expected we parked right outside the accommodation and we was met at the door by one of the lovely owners who gave us our room and front door keys, with information about breakfast times etc. On 1st impressions I knew it was spotless and very well presented. The seafront and all that paignton has to offer within walking distance within minutes. Our room was at the back of the house which suited us perfectly. The room was very big with a king-size bed, tv, ensuite, sofa in the room, tea and coffee facilities. Again immaculate, and I'm always hesitant at rooms with carpet but again no complaints. We dropped our bags and went for a walk to the seafront for food. I recommend the one opposite the park and the corner. Having returned it was again quiet in the hotel, exhausted after travelling etc we settled down for the night and was not dissapointed, the bed was very comfortable and the room itself airy, I did use the fan provided as only as this aides sleep and for no other reason. Breakfast alone I would return for. Fresh, abundant, and more than satisfying to set you up for the day. It was at breakfast we met the other owner and she was delightful and respectful. This hotel is 100% better than you would get in a chain, and it is reminiscent of how tourism and accommodation should be in a seaside town. The price we paid as a last minute should have been double as the hotel is deserving of it. Thank You."
