"I recently stayed in one of the villas at Movenpick Khao Yai and, while the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, the overall experience did not meet expectations given the premium price point.
The most disappointing aspect was the pool policy. Being asked to leave at 7pm felt unreasonable, especially considering guests often wish to swim after sunset to avoid direct sun exposure. For a luxury property, such restrictions undermine the value of the stay.
Dining was another area of concern. Room service was substandard: the Caesar salad lacked flavor, and the chicken shawarma wrap was misrepresented, it bore no resemblance to authentic shawarma and should not be marketed as such. Breakfast was equally underwhelming, offering only a very limited selection that fell short of the brand’s standards.
In summary, while the staff were courteous, the combination of restrictive amenities, poor food quality, and limited breakfast options made the stay feel overpriced. For the level of investment, guests should expect a far higher standard of service and dining."
