"The location of the hotel couldn't be better, about 8-10min walk toward the Light Tower and museum - a major attraction of Barra - and 5-7 min walk to the Morro do Cristo monument for fantastic coastline views. "I have to say I was somewhat disappointed in the hotel. The location was fairly good. The buffet breakfast was not great but hard to say what I was expecting from Salvador but overall, I give it a five or six out of 10. The seals and all the windows were blown out. The windows were gray and foggy, and the room smelled damp and wet. We had to move one of our guests or fellow travelers room because it was moldy inside."

"It was a beautiful property but the breakfast was very expensive compared to other properties in the area that provided the same type of breakfast but it was included in the rate. But other than that the staff were great, the location fantastic and the food and wine were very good. Would recommend it."

"Really good location. Breakfast was ok. This hotel doesn't serve lunch or dinner but there are tons of restaurants around. The staff was very instrumental in assisting with tours. I'm so glad the front desk speak both English and Portuguese, which was helpful."
