Glamping pods are separate from the main house and feel very private and secluded. Beautiful setting overlooking the hills and vineyards. Room (Olive suite) had a coffee machine and mini fridge with complimentary drinks/snacks. Large outdoor wrap-around terrace which got sun all day and late into the evening. "Hotel was excellent in every way! The staff was amazing attending to our every need. Pool was a big plus in the hot summer weather! Breakfast buffet was also amazing. The location was a little disappointing being a little farther from the old Certaldo than expected. Also disappointing was the size of the shower in our room, make sure to get a bathroom with a good sized shower. Definitely would return without hesitation!"

"Staying at Hotel Il Castello was a step back into history - a beautiful appointed historic building that had been sympathetically made over into a hotel/bar/restaurant, with panoramic views over Lower Certaldo. The bedrooms very clean, with rustic charm and furnishings. Modern functioning shower, TV, and AIRCON unit which was very welcome in the intensive 30+ degree heat of the day and night. The background music in the restaurant/bar always playing Jazz music - which, whilst not my favourite type of music, was actually very pleasant. Not surprising since the owner is a Jazz musician and either was OR is still heavily involved in the Jazz music industry. The only downside (and maybe only to British travellers?) was the absence of Tea/Coffee making facilities in your hotel room. From start to finish, hotel staff always helpful, always smiling and eager to assist in any way. Continental breakfast every morning with the options of cereals was marvellous. Certalo Alto (Upper Certaldo) where the hotel is positioned is in a fortified town and is very rustic and sympathetically restored without making everything look new, you KNOW without doubt that the area is set deep in history. Absolutely beautiful place. Dare I say it, younger people, or people without a car might find the lack of local amenities a bit of a challenge, but if you are looking for a sleepy, relaxing atmosphere, then this is the place for you. If the owner and staff see this, I really do want to thank them."

"Lovely place. Rooms are a nice nice. We stayed in a junior suite. Pool was lovely and the view from it was incredible. Ball games etc not allowed in the pool and the pool area bar didn’t open until about 5/6pm. This is not a criticism as it created a quiet and relaxed vibe which was fitting of the view and location, but worth noting. Breakfast was nice, we would have preferred a little more choice, but no complaints, they hosted a pizza night on one of our stays, the pizza was ok, we would have preferred to have the Tuscan dinner another night but didn’t work with our plans, All in all a lovely stay, would happily return."

"We loved our stay at Cesani, specifically for the: -Helpful staff: they recommended a couple of restaurants close by that were amazing -The View: the view from the property (and poo!) was amazing -Our room was very clean, the only thing I would change is the lighting (to a warmer bulb) and maybe some decor updates but that’s so minor compared to how great our stay was!"
