"The room was nice and clean. The staff is what broke the place. The food was fair but nothing special. This place had a lot of potential but the people seem to not want to be there a waitress even dropped food on me without an apology."
Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort And Spa by IHG

"The Kimpton is an outstanding hotel from the outstanding ocean view rooms to the ocean 10 yards from the pool. The staff is so friendly and willing to assist you without any expectations of money (at anytime). I would rate this hotel as a 5 star, it's that nice from the spa to the food. And if you snorkel or dive, it is unbelievable, right off the beach is the reef and unlimited sea life. Spa and food are second to none. Only negative I would say is it can be expensive since it isn't all-inclusive; food and drinks add up. The breakfast additional cost is a must and the options are well worth the initial additional cost as you will save if added to initial package. First class hotel and experience. Highly recommend. p.s. if you like excursions, local areas don't offer much."

Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort - All Inclusive

"My family of 3 stayed in a family suite, which I assumed would accommodate all of us. We were given 2 towels a day so I requested additional towels, only to find they took them from us during housekeeping and replaced again with 2. The TV didn't work from day one of a 5 day stay. We had no internet ever and were told they would get it fixed. The family suite was on the outside of the resort directly across from a construction site, not a great view. The "buffet" consisted of the same food day after day for each meal and not a lot of variety for picky eaters. The restaurant had a nice variety, but what you saw on day one lasted throughout the week. Overall, for a high end resort, I do not feel we got our money's worth nor support from the staff."

"What an awesome gem on the Island, the drive into the property had me wondering but once onsite it was perfect. The garden cabin was exactly what we wanted for a short getaway to relax and unplug. The staff was awesome and very welcoming. The private snorkeling trip to Pigeon Key was great, we swam with the sharks and rays. The owners know how to spoil you while onsite, breakfast was very good. Also had an awesome Rum Punch, 5 stars all the way around. We are already looking at dates for a return trip."
