It looked like a really nice place and the reviews seemed mostly solid so I wasn’t really nervous about staying here before I did. But… wow. In a bad way.
The staff were friendly and helpful when I arrived and locked up my stuff so I could explore— the reception area was stylish and the restaurant seemed really cool. And then I came back hours later to check in.
Mayhaps I am a bit picky but I felt that the pictures I saw of the deluxe King Room and the room that I got were… vastly different from expected.
My room was on the 5th floor and the view was pretty mid— valid since basically a middle floor. There was a desk and a chair that was super wobbly and the desk was slightly sticky. Might just be the cleaning product, so I opted to just chill on the bed with my laptop instead.
The bathroom shower was weird. The water pooled in the shower after I used it and the tiling felt so… bleh. The water pooled in the sink after I used it to wash my hands. Either I couldn’t find the switch for a bathroom fan or there simply wasn’t one.
The fridge was not cold and looked kind of gross at the back of it. I turned it up and it didnt seem to make much of a difference. Glad I only had this room booked for a night before my transfer flight… already cancelled my stay here for my return next week and am praying the new hotel I chose doesn’t horrify me.
I probably should have complained but this is my first time travelling alone and I was too nervous to. Ah well.
