"The Paara Safari Ladge is great choice when visiting Murcheson Falls National Park...easily one of the best in this remote area. But be careful when you book your room to make sure that it has air conditioning if that is important to you. (It's very hot at Paara). Even though I had a copy of my booking with Hotels.com that clearly stated that I hadn't paid for an air conditioned room, it required 30 minutes of arguing and a call to hotels.com before they would give me the room I had paid for....
"The property gives you high luxury in the middle of nature. But what makes the place exceptional is the services given by staff. They treat you like VIP from arrival to check out.
I have done a lot of travel and hotels but this was so far my best experience. It brings two worlds together and it’s absolutely have to visit place if you are looking for safari lodges"
"I really enjoyed the hippos grazing at night. The staff also built us a bonfire the first night we were there and we were able to eat around it. The biggest problem was they said we were not expected ( even though my name was clearly on their guest list) and that they did not know we had a 6 year old with us. They were very confused at first and did not know how to handle the situation. One man was very unfriendly."
"For the money it is a good location. Not far from Paraa where it is 3-4 times more this hotel ot is a bargain. With little improvement could be a super deal. Even so it is a good deal. They have good restaurant with good fish or chicken and chips. Ladies serving and hotel ladies are providing good service. Management helped with check in and our needs in rooms. "A lovely lodge on the edge of Murchison Falls National Park and the Nile. The staff were friendly and always escorted us to and from our lodge after dark in case of elephants (which we did encounter on the track to the lodge on one eve). The lodge was very large with Verandah and bathroom as well as 3 bedded bedroom.
You can hear music at night from across the Nile so ear plugs would be recommended for light sleepers.
It is so convenient for early morning games drives and the buffet breakfast...
"The staff was nice. We went on a Safari and we got to see lots of animals and we went on a dinner boat cruise and got to see hippos and and some other wildlife and that was a lot of fun. The rooms were nice. We stayed there total of five nights Very peaceful and relaxing in town is not very far away as in Pakwach. For some easy shopping and gifts"
