"Could be my favourite hotel. Ever. The staff(owners) are lovely. Gave a tour of the wine cellar which was SPECTACULAR! Like a cathedral. The decor was brilliantly done. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The room was beautifully decorated w all new fixtures. The garden patio was out of a movie. Beds were king size and perfect. I have never stayed in a hotel with more attention to detail. And the town is the most perfect medieval town I have seen in France. We had dinner at Henri IV square...

"The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The restaurant was good. However there is nothing else around. We were on our way to La Rochelle and it was a good stop off point for one night. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Parking very easy and just of the autoroute"

"Basic at best. Location is on the outskirts of town in a petrol station. Bit of a walk (15min) into the town. Breakfast was really poor. There was no lighting as overhead lights had failed. (I did see people working on them the previous night, but obviously did not fix them). We had cycled from London to Paris. No bike storage, but staff said we could keep them stored in a conference room downstairs. "

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. The single person room was spacious (even though we added an extra person) and very clean. The air conditioning was exceptionally appreciated as our stay was during a heatwave. Breakfast was brilliant- locally sourced goods, homemade cakes, lots of choice. Well worth the 16€. "Petit déjeuner restreint mais reste convenable pour le prix. Chambre un peu petit avec une salle de bain ou il ne faut pas être trop imposant. Et à rénover surtout. Literie vieillot. Réservation faite pour 2 personnes mais nous n'avions qu'une serviette et pas de tapis de bains. La porte de la chambre laissait passé un gros courant d'air Personnel gentil point positif. Convient pour une nuit voir 2 maximum, mais pas plus. "

"This is essentially a motel in Villers and as far as motels go, it was fine. The bedding and towels were clean but the room could not be called well-maintained otherwise. There were plenty of insects outside the doors and along the corridors. The fire alarm in another unit went off at 6:00 AM during my stay and remained blaring for around 10 minutes, though I cannot say whether this was actually the establishment's fault or whether the occupant was culpable.
