A nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! The only downside was the WiFi wasn’t working apparently just for iPhone users during my stay so that was a bummer but besides that, I can’t complain! A great hotel for my first time solo traveling.

An affordable hotel in an excellent location. Hotel Alane is located within 3 min. walk to the Gare de l'Est and 10 mn. to Gare du Nord, the two train/metro hubs to go anywhere in Paris and Charles de Gaulle Airport. Arriving at the hotel I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman named Zakaria who shared an interest in piano music. Other staff are also very helpful and pleasant, including Eric, Nazim, and a tall blonde lady (whose name I didn't have a chance to ask - my apology.) The hotel is also located on a bustling area with shops and eateries. You are within 5 mins to a grocery store to fastfood restaurants, e.g., Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, etc. However drivers on their car horns and ambulance calls might disrupt light sleepers, so ask for a quiet room if possible. Room is clean. Room service is done everyday, an appreciative feature. Elevator is slow. Front desk is staffed 24/7. Hotel Alane is affordable, safe, and convenient. Recommended.

Hotel Alane was perfect for our needs - Gare de l'Est metro is just around the corner, and yet our room was peaceful at night as it overlooked a side street. We didn't use the air conditioning much, but it was handy to have it there to cool down the room for a few minutes. The staff on reception were really friendly and the housekeeping was excellent as we always returned to an immaculate room after a day's exploring.

Great property, for a a price contious traveller like myself.. Staff were always welcoming and informative. Walked to every favorite tourist spot from the hotel easily, including a beautiful evening walk back from the eiffel tower which took us an hour and a half. The 2 top floor rooms provide for more then enough room for 2, and have everything you need.

Overall, the hotel was ok as my friend and I were out most of the day and got back at 9pm. The smell of drains was something we didn't like. We had to advise reception to replenish the toilet paper and hand soap. It's quite a small room. Overall, the hotel is very central to the metro, bus station and the international Gare De Nord station it has quite a few supermarkets, restaurants, patisserie etc. :)

Super nice staff, excellent location if you are traveling from Gare del Est (1 block away) , clean rooms and bathrooms. Only con on my side was the small tub, but we managed to take a shower there). Also good variety of breakfast. Overall we will definitely stay there again.

A nice clean hotel, near to train stations

Had a lovely stay at the hotel Alane. Room was very clean, comfy bed, receptionist was very helpful. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Paris.
