"One of those fabulous guest houses one wishes to return to. We were made to feel very welcome and even managed a stolen few hours reading in the garden. Breakfast was a treat and guests spoiled for choice. Homemade sausages, bagels and waffles, all worth a try and perfect poached eggs cooked to order!
Location was great for walking into town and parking made it the perfect location for a busy graduation. "

The only thing worth noting is that the loft room is up 3 sets of stairs (the last one being a little steep) so bear that in mind if you have luggage or if you plan on doing the climb up the York Cathedral Tower tour...

"We had a lovely stay here. The staff were wonderful and accommating, gave us tips on places and restaurants to go to. Its only a short walk to the centre and to the riverside - extremely convenient.

"Don't drive, arrive by train and everything can be walked from here. Vibrant city centre location so can be noisy at night. Room standards vary from the amazing to the basic so worth paying more. 4* as we got a basic room night 1 but then they moved us to amazing room! Food and staff were really 5*."

Staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was ready 4 hours early so we were able to check straight in. Really handy as they have lockers you can leave your stuff in to go back and collect after you’ve checked out, saves you having to carry big bags and cases around York with you.
