Patong beach is very nice but very busy and the town of Patong is also very busy, with many bars and a hectic lifestyle. Some may love it but not for us as it is very commercialised and more of a party scene.

This is a much busier area, depends what you like but I didnt like how busy this area was. Very glad i chose Karon instead of Patong!

A busy beach resort but great as a base for a holiday. It has good transport links and you can get to and from lots of places on the island.
