"Absolutely stunning property in every way. We stayed in Villa Melati and it is a truly magnificent house at the top of the hill. The architecture was amazing, the views across the ocean and sunset mesmerising and the staff exceptional. The breakfast and butler service was excellent, all of the staff extremely helpful and friendly ..without being intrusive. The pool was huge, the gardens stunning. A few minor repairs were needed but otherwise truly MAGNIFICENT!!!"

"1) Wildlife: Expect bugs and animals, as the hotel is in a natural habitat with monkeys, ants, and other insects. However, the rooms are well-maintained, cleaned twice daily, and sprayed with eco-friendly repellent. During breakfast, ants can swarm tables and the buffet, so eat quickly. 2) Open Bathroom: The bathrooms have an open design, allowing a view of the stars while you shower. Though there’s a chance of encountering bugs, we never did. Store toiletries in the room to prevent monkeys...

"Amazing place, the view during breakfast and swiming in the pool is breathtaking. Would have stayed another night but they were fully booked...clean simple room but if you want a place to relax by pool and really enjoy this is the place....we had free scooter parking in the front..."

"Sumandi (if I got his name correct) was very friendly and made us feel at home. The balcony is perfect to read book at night while enjoying the breeze. The place is very spacious and clean. Breakfast is freshly made."

"Photos looked amazing but actual property was aged 20 years and laid forgotten thereafter. There was only 1 reception staff around to cater to the entire premises (granted that I only saw two other couples stay around us). The room was large with two stories, however upon check-in, noticed that cleanliness was subpar (stains in glasses, bathtub not cleaned). Housekeeping was only once a day and two pax to clean the entire place (hence not possible to be thorough - and they only spent 15 mins)...

"Nice having a private pool. However only the bedroom was air conditioned. Lounge area and dining area was out door and subject to bugs and heat. Can’t walk anywhere from this hotel. Need to get a car anywhere. "

"We stayed one night in an authentic Balinese cottage, which was quaintness comfortable. The second night we stayed in the upstairs suite in the main building, which was luxurious and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and served in the main dining room. Staff were attentive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
