"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. "The view and setting really made the trip and the staff were so lovely, kind and helpful! Watching the sunset each evening outside on the rocks was glorious. The complementary breakfast was really great, fresh baked croissants and a list of hot options. The rooms were clean and basic but just want was needed really. The location was fantastic for some great walks and sightseeing. I really enjoyed our 2 nights there and would go back."

Bodmin Jail Hotel

"Two night stay and really can’t wait to stay again. The room couldn’t be faulted for beautiful facilities. I would have liked the bottled water to be replenished for the 2nd day. Nice complimentary fizzy pop in the mini bar. The food quality is exceptional. We ate in The Chapel the first night and couldn’t fault it. All staff are exceptional, professional and very friendly. The 2nd night we ate in the bar and again couldn’t fault the food. Takes a little getting used to how to get around especially when the bar is closed as tou have to wander through the breakfast room to get to the cafe to buy water. The only issue I had was the smell of stale sweat and BO wafting through from the gym was really off putting. It made the staiwell stink."

"Camelot castle is a perfect location for Tintagel . A short walk into the village which although busy is lovely. The views from the hotel are breathtaking with a costal path direct to the small beach( check tidal times before you go) There is a lovely bar where we purchased drinks and sat outside and watches the sunset. The hotel decor is amazing and have a comfortable lounge to sit on. Our room was plenty big enough with sea view, bathroom had a bath and separate shower too and was spotless. Only thing for me was the bed was a bit too firm. Breakfast was plentiful and staff were professional but also friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel."

"The room was clean with everything we needed. The beds were two twin mattress put together which kept separating leaving a gap to fall through which was very annoying and uncomfortable. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Pool and spa was nice, sauna was out of order though but everything very clean. Overall it was really nice for the price and I would go back, just would make sure it’s a full double bed!"

"A different take on a traditional hotel. Modern and nice interior features. 1st impressions were good. Greeted on arrival. Check in was smooth and easy. Advised on how to use the lift with key card and breakfast. Offered an option to dine in and a welcome drink. Room was generally clean. We found a long hair in the shower and the bathroom generally smelt of sewage but felt it was coming from the drains. As soon as you ran some water it subsided and with the the door shut you couldn’t smell it in the rest of the room. Welcome message on the TV was a nice touch and the atmosphere of the room was good. Bed was for us way too soft. This did affect our general sleep. Breakfast was efficient and was well done. Overall we felt it was good value and would stay at the Moxy again. The surrounding area of the hotel aren’t the best but this isn’t the hotels fault. Staff were also great."
