"Hotel's air conditioning needs to be improved. The room we first checked into had negligible air conditioning. Temperature inside our room was 26.8 degrees Celsius. When we informed the front desk (Day 1 of 11 nights stay), the response we got from the staff was that the hotel was full and that it was impossible to change room but perhaps the next day. The next morning (Day 2 of our stay) when we requested room change, we were told by a very impolite staff that hotel was still full and no room change was possible. Daytime temperature in Nice was over 30 degrees Celsius. When we asked to speak to a Manager, that same male staff rudely said all of the Managers were busy. He did not address our concerns that it was impossible for us to continue staying in a room without proper air conditioning nor did he offer for us to speak with a Manager later. I then saw someone who could possibly be in a managerial position working in a side office, so I knock on the door to request to speak with the Manager. Manager, Julie, was professional, courteous and helpful. She acknowledged our concerns and immediately showed us two rooms that we could move to. We were finally able to move into a room with acceptable air conditioning on Day 2 of our stay. With summer temperatures reaching into the high 30's in Celsius, hotel's air conditioning should really be stronger. Front Desk Staff, Diego, was also helpful and offered us breakfast coupons for two days due to the inconvenience."

"The hotel was handy to a tram stop to get into Nice. It was about 10/15 minute walk to the Augustin Train station which was good as we travelled around the riviera. The room was clean but we had to ask for a change of towels when we needed them. There wasn’t the usual friendly reception from staff that we have had on our many travels in other hotels but it didn’t ruin our holiday. The French Riviera is stunning. The hotel was in an area of Nice that you wouldn’t want to explore but the value for money made it worth the stay and the tram was so handy it didn’t matter but I think if I was a female on my own I might feel intimidated in the area but felt okay with my husband. Overall it was a good hotel and great it was clean."
