Nice Resort with excellent location

Quite nice resort with excellent location right on the beach, not crowded and good garden. Comortable and clean rooms. Ok breakfast.Limited F&B facilities. A couple of good local restaurants, shops, massage, scooter rental, right outside the hotel. Staff not very serviceminded and not good knowledge in English.

Too much wrong to give this hotel any more than two stars. The biggest issue is a lack of sunbeds which means there’s an early morning scramble to put towels down to secure a bed. Any later than 7am and you’ll be lucky to get a bed. Another 20 beds on the beach and on the grass near the pool would fix this issue. Breakfast has a similar problem. Not enough coffee machines and only one egg station means queuing for food and drink. No tables available at peak time. Service poor and staff rude and unhelpful. Rooms are cleaned every day but most days they forgot to provide clean towels. Food and drink expensive. Thankfully Mama’s Kitchen is really good - we usually ate there for lunch and dinner. There is a gym but what little equipment is there doesn’t work well and the AC wasn’t working. If you want a coffee you have to go to the room full of cats. The first time I went there were three cats fighting, two customers standing on chairs screaming and the staff trying to calm things down with a broom. If you like a resort full of screaming children this is the place for you. If you book a boat trip using the in house guy expect to be ripped off. He offered me a boat for 2,000 baht but when I came to pay he said it was 5,400 baht. When I walked away he dropped the price to 2,500 baht.

The staff and accommodation were fabulous. The beach peaceful and tranquil. The sea just the right temperature. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Even has a little street with shops and restaurants. Although the best place to eat is mamas seafood restaurant on the beach. Had a lovely time couldn’t find any faults. UPS and downs

Room did not look pictures from Hotels.com. Chinese themed and materials that felt like at least 20 ears back in time. Ordered double bed but got twin. No excuse and no compensation. They were sold out. Breakfast was 3star hotel, but plus for eggstation. Two coffee machines were working hard and made everyone wait long lines from 7 till 1030. Every day. Best thing thoug, is AMAZING location at the beach with possible sunsets. Had a great one the first night. Beach was very very clean and bar by the pool/beach made decent drinks. Pool was also very nice !

This is not 5 star hotel as advertised. It is 3 star hotel at most. The location is good, probably best on the island, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The rooms are noisy because of thin walls and breakfast is rather poor. If you want fresh eggs prepare to wait about 20 min. The area is not cleaned properly and guests are not very friendly. Mostly families with kids. Not much relaxation here. We always went further away from the hotel to have some tranquility. Nothing really to do on the island apart from getting on tours to other islands.

Yao Yai island beauty

Great 2 days of do nothing except admire the windward side of Ko Yao Yai. There was an all inclusive reaort enzt door, but i preferred to look at the area on my own without being captive. Turned out to be a good choice. This hotel was a new build in 3/2021. Doesn't look like its even broken in. More staff than guests in a very nixe new facility. Staff was kind and helpful.

This accommodation only opened in December 2021 and based on how quiet it was when we were there is still a bit of a hidden gem. The resort is modern (more Greek style white buildings than traditional wooden Thai). It is right on the beach facing west from Koh YaoYai towards Phuket so you get some beautiful sunsets. The room was very clean and spacious - we opted for a Suite which included a lounge and simple kitchen area (nothing to cook with though). We had direct views of the pool and beach from the bed. The breakfast was ok but options were limited (no buffet with such low occupancy). The staff were really pleasant throughout our stay. There is a lovely large pool right in the centre of the resort.

Problems getting there

The hotel is nice and new, however getting there is problematic. You have to take a taxi to the port for the ferry. The ferry was late, so we waited in extreme heat for almost an hour. The ferry was packed and unsafe, scary. Once we arrived on Yao Yai we had no way of getting to the hotel, so we had to hire a driver. After I insisted the hotel reimbursed the driver. Once we were finally there it was nice.

Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt. Wir würden immer wieder das Zimmer mit den privaten Liegen wählen weil es am großen Pool zu wenig davon gibt. Wir waren sonst total zufrieden und fanden die Lage und die Gegebenheiten toll. 1-2 Handtücher pro Zimmer wären cool. Klima schon laut. Kann man aber auch aus lassen.

Overall good!

Bra locations med restauranger och massager i närheten, speciellt då ön i sig är väldigt väldigt lugn och inte finns mycket att välja på. Rummen var fräscha men ACn la av flera gånger. Frukosten var basic.
