"The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. Often going beyond expectations to resolve issues or to provide assistance. Special thanks to Pauline at reception for her enthusiastic and thoughtful introduction to the property. And also a special thank you to the concierge Antione who personally taught us how to play Patonque!"
Le Couvent des Minimes, Un Hôtel & Spa L'Occitane en Provence
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely magical experience staying here. We came for our honeymoon and loved every minute. Beyond stunning property, well thought out details and luxuries throughout, and amazing amenities. The spa was the best I’ve ever been to. We didn’t want to leave. Would highly recommend!!"
"Clean and well decorated. staff friendly since there is no elevator to go to the room upstairs the staff help carry the luggage upstairs for us .breakfast is good and dining room area with bright good outdoor view . There is a clear clean outdoor swimming pool and chair for guest to enjoy . free parking just beside hotel ."
"On arrival after 5 hours riding motorcycles on a hot day, entry to car park over broken concrete drain and speed bump. Main door to reception locked. Eventually a man arrived. Booked into a room, advised no chef so restaurant closed for evening meal.
Rooms basic, area overgrown bushes, outside furniture broken. Concrete steps worn out. Needs urgent refurbishment.
Our stay 2 nights. No milk at breakfast. Croissants poorly cooked. No room service. Broken window catch, broken interior light, bath chipped and unclean black mold on wall tiles. Its is obvious this place is close to being abandoned. Awful."
"Location was amazing right in the town of Lourmarin. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Would recommend staying here if looking for a charming stay in the heart of the village."
"This hotel is stunningly set in the countryside on spectacularly beautiful grounds. Staff is excellent and helpful. Breakfast was to die for with some of the best croissants I’ve ever eaten. The restaurant was very good indeed, and there are excellent alternatives ten minutes away in St-Saturnin-les-Apts as well. The place has a very calming ambience that we loved.
Our villa was Amoureaux, a very interestingly decorated place. It is, however, not a practical place to stay (though the bed was very comfortable), ESPECIALLY if you have any mobility issues. The bedroom is upstairs while the toilet is downstairs. In between the two are a set of hair-raising steep bare concrete stairs without any railings that have danger written all over them.
The point of this review is not to dissuade you from staying at this property- we would return again in a heartbeat- it is indeed spectacular. If you simply book any other villa besides this one, we can guarantee a very pleasant stay- just not Amoureaux."
"One of the better hotels in the B&B chain. Stayed in room 223. My biggest issue is the bathroom. Shower head couldnt be hung, the tub itself is like 1cm deep. Drain couldnt keep up so after about 2 mins water started spilling over the tub. And what is with open showers in Europe? Like half of it has a guard the other half doesnt. Again, water splashes everywhere. This is a common thing for most hotels. The bed was comfortable, room was very clean so was the bathroom. Free parking on site. Concierge is available 24/7 so no issues checking in very late. No fridge."
