"Have stayed at this location multiple times, with each and every occasion being absolutely wonderful! The staff are so lovely and the rooms are always in impeccable condition with a wide variety of ammenities that I still keep being pleasantly surprised by. I always reccommend Totara Lodge when friends and family mention wanting to find lodging near Wellington and have yet to hear any bad reviews from them either!"

"Located nicely! It’s a really good motel for such a cheap price! Clean rooms and spacious room! Love that it has a parking space for your car as well! Check in is supposed to be till 9pm but we arrived at 10pm - but the owner/manager kindly waited for us to arrive. The kitchennete is so big and had everything! "When in WLG, we always opt for Amethyst. Unsure if it’s under new ownership as there’s definitely improvement in the cleanliness and setup of rooms. 5/5! Will always be our go-to!"

"The property is clean but needs lots more TLC. The bathroom looks quite new and the kitchen was in good condition also. Having a hot plate and cooking equipment was nice but would have liked a table and chairs to sit at to eat. The front door was old, draughty and generally very flimsy and not secure. There is no noise insultion, so you can hear your neighbours quite clearly. Its one of 3 motels on the road and you have to collect keys at a different location. Not a place I would recommend."
