"This was a wonderful hotel. Can't say enought good things about it. When we checked in we were told the story of the hotel's social responsibility. During our stay the staff and managers were very friendly and hospitable. They joined in my Kids' excitement of seeing birds and animals on our hikes. Our room on check-in had an issue and they switched us right away, later letting us know that the issue was dealt with an resolved. During our stay we were given multiple restaurant recommendations which were wonderful and very welcome. The hotel had a common seating area with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available for purchase, coffee, tea and water available at all times, board games, books and colouring pencils available. We bought some fruit from the local market and were able to use their kitchen area and plates to prepare it. The location of the hotel is very convenient and offers a beautiful view of the cloud forest and town of Santa Elena. We joked that we would on our next vacation based on the location of this hotel chain. We felt comfortable, safe and felt we were responsible tourists in assisting with their social change. We are coming home with a amazing memories wonderful piece of art sold at the hotel from amlocal artist. Thank you so much for everything."

"Room very clean. Staff amazingly friendly - especially the waitstaff and bartenders! They gave us great local suggestions for sunset spots etc. Beautiful grounds. Our room was on first level so we did not have a view but there was a cute balcony with a stream running past. "

"Not enough staff were English speaking. Always told us, "no speak English". Couldn't get reservations on your app, always said rejected, unless we went and seen a guy. No bacon for breakfast was a disappointment. Activities and entertainment were always in Spanish which you couldn't understand. Food was good."

"Suite (2 bedroom) was very large for the price with a nice patio with a great sunset view and screened in porch. Well appointed, clean and conveniently located near all of the Monteverde attractions and restaurants. "

"Room was clean, Staff were super. Food was good. Missed the hot tub - never saw it. One minor suggestion would be to install even the smallest of space heaters into the rooms to help take the chill and dampness out on those cool nights and mornings. It was about 15C during our visit."
