"Staff friendly and very helpful"

"Nice property. Very clean and new, the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, we found the staff not very friendly the hotel was a bit sterile feeling (no music and cold). A good place to sleep but not to hang out. Far from the city center, about a 10 minute uber each time there and back so just know this is not walkable to some of the main attractions. We found ourselves trying to find extra things to do so we wouldn’t have to Uber back and hang out/take a break at the hotel because it was so far...

"What a lovely place to stay. The terrace, overlooking the river, was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Breakfast itself provided and excellent selection too. The staff were very attentive, helping us get connected to their Internet and quickly replacing a malfunctioning kettle in the room. They were also very efficient when it came to getting a taxi or making reservations at restaurants. We would certainly stay here again if we came back to Porto. MS"

"We wish we had stayed here longer! All the staff at the hotel were lovely and so helpful in every way - they automatically upgraded us to a royal suite at no additional cost and we were amazed by the room and the beautiful view of the Douro river. The in room dining and included breakfast were so delicious and had a lot of variety. Special recognition to Marta for recommending us other cool places to check out for our other stops in Lisbon and Lagos. Would absolutely recommend staying here!"

"The staff, especially front-desk manager, Joao?, was very helpful. (For instance, he personally offered to drive me to the train station, Campanhã, which I had asked him about. He also drove to the shops away from the hotel and bought electric plug-adapters for my charger). I also wish to commend the lady in charge of the daily breakfast spread. Although I’m ashamed to admit that her name eludes me, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that she was unfailingly courteous and helpful!"
