"the property reminded us of a bed and breakfast!! We were wondering how clean it would be because it allows dogs (which was why we stayed there with our lab) and there was no smell of dogs and it was kept very clean!
We would stay again, even without our dog! The staff was nice and helpful too!!
One suggestion from my husband to put in a waffle maker in the breakfast area, but overall the breakfast bar had everything And was fresh and yummy! "
"Upon arrival the entrance is a little cluttered, there is a small area to pull up and part of the space was taken up with a construction vehicle. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lobby and gathering spaces were newly redecorated and comfortable. Breakfast was good. One of the elevators was broken for most of our stay. Much of the equipment in the workout room was broken or nearly and the sanitizing wipes were empty for all the days of our stay. The pool temperature was a little cold. There were plenty of seats and towels available. The room was good initially, we found food that had been left in the cabinet from the previous stay. The room was comfortable and we could see the docks. On the final night of our stay the solid wood king size headboard detached from the wall and landed on my husband. We were fortunate our children were not in the bed and that he was able to catch it without injury. The two of us were able to upright it but it also detached the side panels which held night lamps which broke resulting in glass across our floor. We had to move rooms late in the evening due to this. We were not charged for this night however that was a very fortunate near miss. It was shared a lot of remodeling had just been done around this and quality of the work was pretty poor if this is how they were all installed as it was screwed into sheetrock which stripped as there were no anchors. Won't go back. "
"Every single staff member was incredible. Friendly, informative, personable, and professional. The common areas as well as the rooms were immaculately clean. We cannot wait to come back. Kudos to everyone for all their hard work! "
"Our stay was wonderful! The rooms were clean. The staff was great, very accommodating. My kids loved Mary at the front desk and talked about her the whole stay! We will book again!"
"The room was clean, the staff was nice and helpful. The door to our room wasn’t working, and they had to charge the door so our keycard could work. It still didn’t work, so we couldn’t really leave our room. Curtains didn’t close, so we saw ALL the lights to the airport "
"This is an outstanding property and a great location on the Portland waterfront. Large rooms and bathrooms, very clean and well appointed - and a very comfortable bed. Our check-in was one of the best experiences we've ever had and check out as well - and that is all due to Abby - who is a shining example of what excellent hotel service should be.
We feel the AC Hotel is a great value and are planning to return to Portland for a longer stay later this year."
