"This resort is in an excellent location for tourists. Half way between the airport and the major city of Funchal. The views are stunning. The staff friendly and very pleasant. "The location and views were amazing, but unfortunately, several aspects of our stay were disappointing.
There was an overwhelming smell of vinegar in the room, and the patio was covered in ants, which really detracted from the experience. We were also shocked to discover that pool towels cost €10. Charging guests extra for something as basic as a pool towel feels unreasonable and left a poor impression.

"The hotel has a great location next to the
Cathedral. Only problem is that it’s hard to
get to with luggage, since cars & taxis can not get to the entrance. All the employees were helpful, talkative, and enjoyable. The free breakfast has a huge assortment of goodies and even hot items.. The one problem I do want to address is parking your car. When I reserved, it said parking available..
For some reason, I expected it nearby and free. The parking lot is a good 15 minutes walk from the hotel....
