"Terceira is a beautiful island and the Bay Apartments are a great place to stay. Everything there was perfect and our host, whose English is excellent, was full of great tips for places to eat and things to do. There was even a list of a dozen good restaurants and an indication of what type of cuisine and price level.

"There wasn’t an address posted, it was difficult to find. It was not clean. We were greeted by ants, spiders, cockroaches, & a dead bird carcass. When we opened a large mirrored closet, it fell towards us. The entire faucet in one of the bathrooms rocked in place. There was mold everywhere and It smelled of mildew. We didn’t have hot water for 3 days. And the worst part was that maintenance locked us out of the entry gate. We returned from dinner at 23:00hr, in the dark. Our taxi driver had to...
