Oh my sweet mother of snap was this a disaster. They don't mention on the website they are undergoing massive renovations on EVERY floor, (which by the way are sorely needed). You have to work your way around construction materials and crew to get to your room. When we went in to my mothers room it smelled like R Kelly had a party there. We had to go buy disinfectant spray to help counter the smell. I was lucky when I went to check in that there was someone at the desk because for the entire rest of my stay there was never anyone at the desk. I only saw 3 staff members total. When I wanted to check out I had to hunt down a maid to call the front desk person. We had to pay for our stay up front and I'm sure this is so when you see how bad the property is, you dont go somewhere else. My mother and I would have anyway if there had been an opening elsewhere, but everything was booked for the weekend. We debated sleeping in the car. I took pictures of ceiling plaster of the carpet, cracked tiles and fixtures. There was a tub of icecream someone left behind in the back of the fridge and the fridge was unplugged so I have NO idea what state that was in and I wasn't going to touch it. "Breakfast" was cereal I think? but it looked to be a dispenser where you could pour some in a bowl.I didn't see any milk. I didn't check it out. They should've burned the building down and started over. I dont anticipate ever going back to Prestonsburg, but if I do, I I won't stay here.
