Owner has a pack of dogs that bark all the time - they locked them in when I complained but were out barking again at 6am
It says it is inclusive of breakfast but they didn’t provide it and said it was a mistake
So really poor but the little restaurants nearby were great and I probably had the best meal so far, it’s also a great place for spotting...

At time of booking a message was sent to management letting them know that our arrival to the hotel would be late as there was a lengthy bus ride and as the expedia app explained late check in was available as per availability whatever that means. "Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming.
My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest...
