We had a fantastic stay! Beachfront property with a walk straight onto the beach. Breakfast great and we loved that you could make it up yourself. We also ate in as the kitchen well-equipped. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough

Location was excellent, sea view and direct view on whales passing by. Price/quality out of balance for the location. The village itself doesn't offer a lot, restaurants of an at best ok-ish level.

We had a room on the ground floor and we were happy to have a terrace and access to the beach. The room is very nice. Nice furniture, good bed, good shower. Kitchen furniture is very basic. However there is nothing foreseen to take usage of the terrace (chairs, table), the area near the terrace is not well maintained. This is a pity because it could be a very nice place. The breakfast is very basic and repetitive. No yoghurt, no fruit ... same cheese and ham each day. You have to take care of your breakfast and of your bed by your own. This was not a problem for us but quite surprising for an hotel of this price. Anyway we had a good stay but not sure we would go back.

The toilets in all rooms constantly ran out of water to flush them. We had to get after the front desk many times to get water in the toilets so we could flush them. This hotel is extremely overpriced considering how bad a shape it is in and the lack of maintenance. We will never stay there again.

My stay was very pleasant. When I arrived at Puerto Madryn airport I was notified that my car rental was canceled. I called the hotel up and within 15 minutes they had someone to pick me up. My room was ready and had the refrigerator stocked with ham, cheese, eggs, condiments and beverages. The cabinets had coffee and tea. All I needed for breakfast and lunch. They also had bottles of wine at the front desk and refrigerator for purchase.Every morning they delivered fresh bread which was amazingly good toasted with jam. I had the top corner room which gave me access to the balcony and rooftop. Also had my dog with me so ample room for him to walk around and sun tan. Great place to watch the stars. The view was amazing, literally just steps away from the beach. Morning runs and dogs walks on the beach we’re so relaxing. Due to my car rental being cancelation I was a little stressed out as not having access to tour the island at my own leisure and seeing the wildlife. The hotel was able to find a private tour guide Carlos a native and photographer to show me the island. He knew so much about the animal life and knowledgeable about when the orcas and whales might come to shore. The hotel was also able to find me a driver to the airport in Trelew which was 2 hours from the hotel for my departure. My experience which could have been disappointing, and stressful Océano Patagonia really came through in every aspect. I would 💯 recommend this place and would definitely be returning.

Dormir junto a las ballenas.

Reservamos la suite principal porque era lo único que les quedaba. Dos días sin agua caliente, con cortes de electricidad permanentes, sin WiFi, con la mochila del inodoro rota, con instalaciones eléctricas sin terminar y sin calefacción es lo más parecido a vivir junto a las ballenas. La limpieza brilla, pero por su ausencia. Y no sirven el desayuno, te dejan una bolsa de pan colgada en la puerta y te lo tenés que preparar vos. El parking está diseñado para guardar únicamente bicicletas, tuvimos que dejar el auto afuera porque el nuestro no entraba y lleno de equipaje porque no hay ascensor en el hotel. El personal muy amablemente nos dijo que ellos no eran responsables y que hacían todo lo posible por solucionar los “inconvenientes”, recordando la vieja frase de que el camino al infierno está empedrado de buenas intenciones. A las 10 de la noche del segundo día, antes de finalizar nuestra estadía, nos fuimos a otro hotel menos pretensioso y más económico. Tuvieron la decencia de pagarlo. Estábamos con nuestra bebé de 8 meses. Si quieren una buena vista es más conveniente, seguro, limpio y abrigado dormir en una carpa en la playa.

Great restaurants nearby La Covacha and Refugio. Cons: Staff nos very attentive or helpful, except for Agustina really nice, attentive and patient.

Overall a very nice place and a fantastic stay. The location of the property, right on the beach is great. Waking up in the morning with the view on the bay in fantastic. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a fridge and kitchen utensils if you want to cook your own meal. Every day, you are given a loaf of bread and the fridge is filled with cream cheese, orange juice, cheese, butter, jam, dulce de leche for the next day breakfast, which is more than needed. The bed is large, a bit hard but comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A special star for Belen (at reception) who helped us sort the issue with our rental car. Some one bumped into our car and scratched it. She contacted the rental company in Puerto Madryn and coordinated the exchange of insurance documentation with them so that when we returned the car, everything was already sorted and we were not charged. Only negative point: the bathrooms hot water and water pressure are a bit whimsical. But I guess that in such remote areas, it is not easy to get perfect commodities. Overall we loved the place.

Me encantó Oceano Patagonia!!

Aunque al llegar no parece el hotel más bonito del mundo y tiene una entrada un poco rara, una vez dentro merece totalmente la pena. Está sobre la playa, con vista frontal al mar desde todas las habitaciones y una luz espectacular. Nosotros íbamos en Luna de Miel y se lo indicamos en la reserva. Al llegar nos dieron, por sorpresa, un upgrade a un estudio en la planta alta con acceso a una terraza privada tipo rooftop, con una vista maravillosa. ¡Un detallazo! El estudio tiene 2 habitaciones (una matrimonial y otra con dos camas), un baño completo, un aseo, y un salón con cocina integrada, además de una terraza grande que comunica salón y dormitorio. El hotel no ofrece desayuno como tal, pero la nevera de la habitación tiene zumo, jamón, queso, mantequilla, mermelada etc... y todos los días desde recepción te suben pan casero muy bueno. De esta forma puedes prepararte el desayuno que quieras, y es muy cómodo. Además tiene garaje cubierto y gratuito para dejar el coche. El único detalle "negativo" sería el baño principal, que aunque está renovado tiene detalles un poco antiguos como la ducha o los sumideros. Y el agua caliente (al menos durante nuestra estancia) va y viene mientras te estás duchando. Pero por lo demás, sin duda lo recomendaría y repetiría mi estancia en el hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and helped us plan our whale watches as well as trips further into the Peninsula Valdes park. While the ground floor rooms give you easy access to the beach, we opted for a 2nd floor room that gave us better views of the ocean. They provide you the ingredients for breakfast - eggs, cheese, juice, a fresh loaf of bread every day - which was great. We would either eat the eggs for breakfast or hard boil them to take with us for lunch. Would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing views of the whales

Excellent hotel with amazing views. Rooms are comfortable and very clean with great facilities. I'd echo what others said about the interconnecting rooms, you can hear every word your neighbour says. They need bricking up. Folks moaning about the WiFi or water need to realise they're on holiday in rural coastal Patagonia, it won't be as reliable as it is in London or California.
