Staff was professional, courteous and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable, breakfast delicious and plentiful. Would recommend for access to downtown PV. Will stay again upon next trip.
Quaint boutique hotel with only 13 rooms and 6 employees. Staff were extremely attentive and rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, too. Close to the malecon, but far enough away so we didn't hear all the noise at night. Will definitely stay here again while visiting Puerto Vallarta.
Amazing lil boutique hotel. Great hospitality, beautiful people with great attitudes. Stoped by for a 1 night stay with my son and daughter. Very quite and I'm a great location very centralized. I highly recommend if u want peace and quiet
The atmosphere was amazing. It was a small paradise. The traditional free breakfast was made to order every morning. The staff was friendly and very helpful. It is centrally located and 3 blocks from the Malecon. There were lots of choices for eating out. We will stay again!
Hospitality was great. Breakfast every morning was delicious and filling (choice of eggs, meats, fresh fruit or fresh juice, toast, coffee or tea). You must ask for water to drink for your room (they gave us a pitcher of bottled water upon request). Bathroom sink had a recurring leak but management was quick to fix. The rooms were large and comfortable. Style is eclectic. The location was perfect for walking everywhere and very safe for tourists. Not too loud despite it being New Year's Eve holiday. We would stay here again.
Loved the stay. Place was unique, room was clean, comfortable and quiet, staff was gracious and friendly, and the home cooked breakfast was awesome. This place was totally different than any of the generic hotel options. If you want to feel like you are at a Hyatt in the US or Europe, then this one isn't for you. If you want an old world charm hotel with friendly staff where every room is different and custom-built, plus you are in the middle of the old town of Puerta Villarta, then this is for you.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff were very friendly and check in was uncomplicated. The breakfast that was included was ok, but the coffee was great. There was only cool water in the bathroom, not hot.
Our rating would be higher, except that the pool was not available during our stay. That was one of the primary criteria we searched for when choosing a hotel, and we wouldn’t have stayed here if we’d known the pool was closed for renovation. Our room was okay but lacking some key features. There was no closet or other place for hanging clothes storage, and no lamps on the nightstands.
On the positive side, the staff were great - very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was very good, and it was nice to get to know other guests at the common tables. The location couldn't have been much better, in the center of town and within easy walking distance to everything.
Hotel Boutique Pueblo Real exceeded my expectations in every way. What truly stood out was the location—peaceful, beautifully situated, and perfect for rest and renewal. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, offering a sense of openness, harmony, and tranquility that immediately puts you at ease.
Every detail is cared for with intention, from the atmosphere to the overall feeling of security and calm throughout the property. The environment feels both welcoming and refined, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy the stay.
Cleanliness deserves special mention: it is absolutely top-tier—impeccable and truly 5-star. You can feel the pride and care in how everything is maintained.
If you’re looking for a boutique hotel that offers serenity, elegance, and an exceptional level of care, Hotel Boutique Pueblo Real is a standout choice.
Wonderful stay. You can’t get a better locación for the price. Just a couple of blocks from the Malecon and close to so many restaurants and to the main plaza. Our room was spacious, comfortable and with all needed amenities. The included breakfast is quite complete, fruits, coffee, toast and a main dish to chose from.
All the staff is amazing. We want to thank Ray for his great service and terrific attitude. Our initial flight was rescheduled so we arrived very late yet he took our calls with reassurance and always great attitude. He waited a few hours beyond the normal check-in window. Thank you!
Liz was wonderful and made sure I felt completely comfortable from the moment I arrived. I was originally supposed to stay at my father-in-law’s house, but from the second I got there, everything went wrong. By the time I checked into the Pueblo Hotel, I hadn’t slept in almost two days and hadn’t even had a chance to shower I desperately needed peace.
I booked the hotel the same day and arrived just a couple of hours later. While waiting for my room, I was able to relax on their rooftop overlooking the water, and for the first time in days, I could finally take a deep breath. The staff is incredibly attentive; they even let you choose the scent used to clean your room, which was such a thoughtful touch.
The location is also perfect: walking distance to the Malecón, restaurants, and shops. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to reset.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I loved the helpful and kind staff and how clean the property is.
Unfortunately the hotel is in a very loud neighbourhood and the hop on hop off bus passes by the windows multiple times and there's not enough soundproofing.
Rooms were spotless, the place is full of beautiful character, staff were very friendly and helpful (went above and beyond helping us out - and it meant the world to us; muchas gracias to Liz, Ian, and wonderful staff/friends!). This has felt like a safe and welcoming home away from home.
Lots of postives to this place. The breakfasts are generous and very good. Beds are very comfortable and a/c is much appreciated. We had good wifi signal everywhere.
The rooftop deck had sun or shade areas to sit; it looks out to the beautiful ocean, and we saw whales breaching from our chairs for about 5 minutes one day!
The proximity to the Malecon, great food (everywhere), the Romantic Zone, shops, beaches, etc, is amazing. Yes, it can be noisy with traffic etc at times, but just use ear plugs if you need to at night. All of downtown PV is like that or worse and better than a typical city as far as that goes.
Fyi the pool is not functional currently (and owners can't contact you through Expedia to tell you- you'd have to first contact them to enable them to inform you). It ended up not being an issue at all because we walked down to Playa Los Muertos and Playa Camarones instead and swam in the ocean and it ended up being better than hanging around a pool.
We will return👍Excellent value all around and a very enjoyable stay!
We arrived as strangers and after our two-week stay we left as family! Such a lovely little community, with the best staff who go out of their way to take care of you. Delicious breakfasts served at communal tables gives you a chance to meet other guests and share experiences. We had many pleasant conversations over morning coffee with other guests from all over. The hosts are so warm and gracious. The rooms are clean, well-preserved and quite comfortable. Unfortunately, the rooftop pool has been closed for awhile, but the fact that it remains listed as an amenity is not the hotel's fault. They told us they have tried consistently to tell Expedia it was closed, but Expedia will not update the listing (probably as this would reduce the $ they receive from bookings). But do not let this stop you from staying. The rooftop patio has lots of space and chairs to look across to the ocean and enjoy the warm Mexican sunshine. We will definitely return to this lovely accommodation in the future.
This is a hidden gem and a special little place. Feels very private with staggered rooms on different levels, and a nice pool for cooling off on the terrace. We were greeted very warmly and they even accommodated an early breakfast & coffee for us before we had to leave for the airport.
The room was very spacious, cozy, and it gave us that old authentic Mexico feel we were looking for. Everyone in the Hotel went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. We loved our stay at pueblo real hotel boutique and will definitely be back.
It’s in a great location, close to Malecon and Art district with amazing restaurants. Staff was so helpful and kind, especially Ian. La Cocina area for breakfast was very welcoming with a kind chef. Grounds and rooms were beautifully rustic. Minimal amenities…the pool was not in service when we were there, it is supposed to ge getting expanded. We stayed in the Oaxaca room. Only complaints, besides no fridge in room, was there were not a lot of areas to put belongings, no extra seating besides bed, no lamps on nightstands—which meant it was very bright when you just wanted some light, only one small window with greenery in front of it, so no natural light. With that being said, it was not a place that I’d recommend staying for a length of time, but would definitely recommend it for a short stay.
