Overall, our stay was fairly good. We understood from the beginning that this is a relatively budget hotel, so we didn’t have high expectations.
The food was a pleasant surprise — everything was tasty, and there was a good variety of dishes to choose from. We’d also like to especially mention the young man at the front desk: we arrived late, and he kindly suggested we go for dinner first before dealing with check-in and payment. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated.
Unfortunately, the rest of the staff didn’t leave the same impression. Most employees seemed unfriendly, rarely smiled, and this was especially noticeable at the bars. Because of that, it didn’t really feel like a place where you’d want to leave tips, which is a pity.
The rooms and overall hotel facilities are quite outdated — including the sunbeds and furniture around the property. That said, we are not very picky, and everything essential was there, so it was fine for us.
What was truly frustrating was the room key cards. They kept getting demagnetized constantly — even brief contact with a phone would make them stop working. We had to go to the reception several times a day to reactivate them, which became very tiring.
Another disappointing aspect was the condition of the public restrooms around the hotel. Many of the stall doors didn’t lock or were simply broken. Fixing basic latches is not a major expense, and it’s quite unacceptable to have to use a toilet with the door not closing properly.
