"Our room was so comfortable with an exterior door and sitting area. One of 10 rooms on the property it was a quiet location. Breakfast is delicious overlooking the river and valley. Small menu is available all day (til 5:00) and special dinner is served nightly at 7:30 from a very limited but delicious menu. Make reservations before 5 pm of the day you wish eat. "Quinta da Marka is an amazing place to stay. They view of the Douro Valley abs River from the terraces and the pool are sensational. The service was brilliant, with Angela going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. The breakfast was good, with lots of options, dinner and the selection of wine and port was also great. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough, we will be returning."

"The hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent. It is a smaller hotel in a rural type town and you got that small town care from the staff. They provided us with a triple room so we could have a double bed and helped make our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with fresh fried eggs and a good selection of breads and other items. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean comfortable room in a smaller setting. "
